My husband grew up on a farm 30 miles from Canada and 30 miles from North Dakota. They grew wheat and had cows. He is pretty proud of his love of beef. A couple of days ago, I suggested that since we are in Bozeman now, maybe we could try some fun new restaurants like maybe a Thai restaurant. He said, "You're trying to change me!" LOL! That man wants beef and only beef so help him. - And Montana beef. From one Montana cow. Not like grocery store beef where the hamburger comes from hundreds of cows in a 1lb package.
I am not usually the beef cooker in our house. I REALLY want to make sure it is done enough, and my husband just has a better technique. So, usually when I do cook the beef, I am a little disappointed. Not today, though! This recipe turned out great and was so flavorful, I am giving myself a little clap on the back. Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Halve the Baby Potatoes and parboil for 8 minutes. Drain. Melt 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil and 1 Tablespoon Butter in a large skillet. Add potatoes and cook for 7-9 minutes until they are "golden crispy". Move to a plate and use the same pan to continue. In the skillet, melt 2 Tablespoons Butter, 5 Crushed garlic cloves, the thyme, oregano, and rosemary. Add the steak bites in an even layer across pan. Turn until desired doneness. Whalaw! A perfect steak and potato dish for my beef loving dude.
