Flu and Cold Season

It’s cold and flu season here.  Every time I hear that one of my friends has the flu (and I realize I probably seen them during the incubation period), I just cringe.  But I do enjoy all of the things I get to do to try and avoid catching germs.
My favorite is Dun dun dun……Hot liquid.  My favorite at the moment is Yogi Sweet Tangerine.  It supports elevated mood and energy levels.  No wonder I’m so positive all the time, lol!!!
I rely on my Neti Pot to keep the germs at bay during our dry Montana winters.  The instruction that came with it said to order the saline solution from them, but I don’t.  I at ¼ tsp of salt with ¼ tsp of baking soda and feel that this works every bit as good as the packets that came with it.
I once made garlic soup to beat a winter cold.  It was soooo gross.  I would much rather take a garlic supplement.  Echinacea is also a good supplement to combat germs, or you can drink tea.  I love the smell of Echinacea tea!!
My least favorite, but I feel it really works is Oregano Oil.  Two drops under the tongue during flu season.  It tastes so awful, you might not be able to eat all day, either.  Added bonus, lol!!
