I love baking cookies for gift giving for Christmas and spend days doing it. This year, I had a big goal for cookie gifting, so I spent many days baking. Nobody needs to be snacking on cookies day in and day out for a week, right? (well.....maybe) So I decided to try making some Dorito flavored popcorn. I hoped that it was filling and healthier than a steady diet of cookies.
It was very nice to not be quite so finger licking sticky like regular Doritos. If you give these a try, I want to hear about it!!
BTW – I used Hoosier Hill Farm Gourmet Cheddar Cheese Powder, but if you don’t want that type of commitment (1.5 pounds), just use a packet of cheese powder out of a mac and cheese box! Your welcome 😊
1/3 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
2 T. coconut oil
2 T. cheddar cheese powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp cayenne or red pepper powder
2 tsp salt
